ThePonga Natural Park, keep alots of forests, of which the most representative are thebeech trees. We can also find wooded masses made up of yews, oak groves, birch groves, ash groves with maple and alder groves. Of all the forest formations that we can find in the Ponga Natural Park, which are many and varied, the most important is thePeloño Partial Nature Reserve, a large beech forest of about 15 km², of great ecological importance.

 

The fauna of the area presents the majority of the species belonging to the Asturian mountain. Of all the species we can highlight thebrown bear, deer, roe deer, chamoisCantabrians and wild boars. In the rivers it is remarkable theotterand the mischief  As for birds, we can highlight thegolden eagle, griffon vulture, Egyptian vultureand thegoshawk. In the extensive forests there are forest birds such as thecapercaillieCantabrian, medium beak and the black whistle.

Our tour, sure no leaveto nobody indifferent, will depart fromLes Bedulesto head towardsCol Granceno, where we can already see the Peloño Forest. We will go a bit into the forest to interact with it and we will get closer to see theRoblón de Bustiello, a true natural monument. Return along the same itinerary.
